Walt Whitman

Walt Whitman 1819- 1892 an American Poet. He first started out as a school teacher and then became a full time journalist. He wrote for many newspapers and also founded many. He also wrote a few books. His type of literature was poems. He was a Humanist and he was a Romanticist because he's forward in his poems and wrote about dreams.

These and all were to the same as they are to you, I loved those well cities, loved well the stately and rapid river, The men and women I saw were all near to me, Others the same- others who look back on me because look'd forward to them, (the time will come, though I stop to-day and to-night.)
